VP, Carbon Operations

Cakey is the lead on strategy and implementation for carbon operations. She oversees a team that manages landowner-side carbon project development efforts, carbon-timber harvest optimization and planning, as well as geospatial and forest information systems. In prior roles, Cakey led the implementation and development of compliance and voluntary forest carbon projects at legacy Bluesource and managed the carbon portfolio for the legacy Forestland Group. Cakey holds MEM and MF degrees from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University and a BS in Biology from Davidson College. Cakey is the Vice President of the Nicholas School Alumni Council, a Certified Forester through the Society of American Foresters, and a Wilderness Medicine Association Wilderness First Responder.
